Jonathan Kelly sentenced to 75 years for murder in Knox County.

A jury convicted Kelly in February, 2019, despite the defense counsel's attempt to persuade the jury that the government's case was not reliable. A second shooter theory was not believed. Kirk Zimmerman acquitted in Bloomington, McLean County murder case

Why was he acquitted? He had a great lawyer. The lawyer repeatedly challenged the circumstantial portion of the government's case and the reliability of the scientific evidence related to testing of gunshot residue and cell tower tracking of Zimmerman's car.
